Millions of microscopic electrical sparks vaporize the material, mirroring the exact 3D geometry of the electrode into the metal.
Wire EDM utilizes a thin, continuously spooling brass or coated wire (typically 0.1mm to 0.3mm in diameter) as the electrode. Guided by CNC axes through a dielectric bath (deionized water), the wire acts like an ultra-precise bandsaw, slicing through metal regardless of hardness.
